Certified Patient Volunteer Training Program - $40.00
Northland Hospice strives to offer the best possible care and support to the individuals we serve and it is our goal to provide our patients and families with competent and confident volunteers. The Patient Volunteer Training Program is a requirement for all volunteers who work directly with hospice patients and is designed to meet Medicare guidelines. Upon completion of the program, participants will be certified as a Hospice Patient Volunteer recognized by the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Arizona Hospice and palliative Care Organization.   Saturday, March 20: 9 am to 4 pm
  Monday, March 22:   6 pm to 9 pm
  Monday, March 29:   6 pm to 9 pm
  Monday, April 5:        6 pm to 9 pm
  Monday, April 12:      6 pm to 9 pm
  Monday, April 19:      6 pm to 9 pm

Certified Assisted Living Caregivers Training Courses 
Northland Hospice offers classes leading to Caregiver Certification.  This program, recognized by the Arizona Department of Health, is the first of its kind to be offered locally.  Pre-registration is required for any of the following Caregiver Courses.  For more information or an application, please call Bobby at the Northland Hospice at (928) 779-1227 or class instructor, Deborah Martin-Wille, RN, MSN at (928) 773-0093.

The three courses we offer are:

Complete Caregiver Certification Course - $295.00
This class is for individuals with little or no care giving experience. It covers three levels of care: Supervisory Care - for those whose role is primarily assisting the residents of a facility or home; Personal Care - for caregivers who provide more personal care; Directed Care - for those who work with residents who are unable to care for themselves. This class is only available to individuals who have been hired by an assisted living facility, nursing home, or LLC who is paying for the course.

The Complete Course is a 3-day class (usually meets over a weekend, from 9 am to 5 pm) that will be scheduled when six students are registered.
              
Manager Training
- $100.00
This class is for the Certified Caregiver who wants to increase his/her skill level to the management level.

Manager Training meets for one day, 9 am to 5 pm.  Please contact Northland Hospice for dates or if you are interested in taking the course.

Review and Test Out - $165.00
Caregivers with CNA credentials or two years minimum experience may receive certification through Review and Test Out, only with permission of the instructor.

Review & Test Out meets for one day, 8:30 am to 5 pm.
